Gearing Up

Well, Ransom went to the Dr. on Tuesday, and we found out he has RSV. The pediatrician said not to panic, that it is not quite as scary as it sounds. We do need to take it seriously though especially since he is so young, so she wrote us a prescription for at home breathing treatments. We have been giving them to him every 4 hours in hopes of keeping him out of the hospital, because pneumonia is a risk in small children with RSV. He seems a LITTLE bit better, but still not eating very well. :( He has already lost weight, and we worry every time he rejects his bottle after only taking in a couple ounces.

To make things a little more exciting the city is gearing up for a big ice storm. We are being told that we will be having mass power outages and road closings. The city is closing down even before the storm gets here. All of the schools are closed and many businesses will be closing. I am actually looking forward to hunkering in with my little family, as long as we keep our power that is. Since our entire family has been sick, we kinda went into survival mode, and have just been doing enough around the house to get by. Now we need to make up for some lost time. So it will be good for us to be stuck at home.

Well, it will be interesting to see how/if this storm really does develop. I will keep you updated!
