We started our Christmas season with Tim and Denecia's wedding. Ransom wore his a "big boy" suit complete with velvet coat and red clip on tie. We had so much fun celebrating Denecia finally becoming an official part of the family, and I swear she had to be one of the most gorgeous brides I have ever seen.
The very next day, we gathered the family together once again for Ransom's dedication at church. Ransom was dedicated to the Lord and prayed over by our pastor, church, family, and friends. This time meant a lot to us, as we pray daily for our son's salvation.
On Christmas Eve we had a huge snow storm ( I think the final tally landed us at 14") that stranded many people and interrupted a lot of people's travel plans. We had planned on staying in town anyway, so we just hung out and did our thing. Daniel's sister's family (Andrea, Jeff, Bree, and Evy) did get stuck in Texas for several days though, and that meant delaying our Christmas celebration with them, but we still had a great time!
Overall, Ransom's first Christmas could not have gone better. We got to hang out with lots of family and had record snow fall (kinda sad he wasn't old enough to appreciate it). We are so thankful to have such great relationships with family-- most of which live very close.
So thats the update. I feel like it should have been more exciting since it took a month to post!
